A Clockwork Orange: New Perspectives November 2018

The conference asks what we can learn from A Clockwork Orange, nearly fifty years on, and explores its relevance for today's society, culture, politics and aspiring filmmakers. The conference will address the film's  impact, aesthetics, origins, variations and histories.  Speakers include Kubrick's producer and collaborator Jan Harlan, Professor Andrew Biswell (Director of the International Anthony Burgess Foundation) and Peter Kramer (Senior Fellow UEA). Other speakers are to be confirmed.

The conference is a three-point collaboration between The Stanley Kubrick Archive (University of Arts London),  The Anthony Burgess Archive and the Department of Film & Photography at Kingston School of Art (KSA).
